Skirrid Fawr, standing at 594 meters, is a striking peak in the Black Mountains of Wales, rich in both natural beauty and history. Known as a site of early Christian significance, it features remnants of a chapel and has been associated with various legends, including tales of the martyrdom of St. Gwynno.
There are multiple ways up and down this relatively small peak - however the main two options are the up and down or the loop variant - the later being OS ambassadour Phillipa Cherryson's favourite walk!
